Well today I went car shopping.
One of those places that are open on a sunday and try to flog you their cars with an inherent loan.
Was looking towards a delivery van, but all those nice and shiny new toys soon got my attention.
Things have come a long way in a decade since I bought my short range commuter.
Loads of buttons, everything electric, built in GPS and entertainment center.
You talk to your car through a small wheel located just below the gearstick.
And biggest pain!!
Yes I was really disapointed.
Headroom has all but gone, legroom is non existent and the quality of the seats is plain crap. Even with the high end vehicles.
Found this nice RAV4 which was most to my liking. Except for the clunking spare wheel carrier worked into the reardoor.
Nice seat, driving position, gearstick in the right position. Easy in and out, nice view.
I then glanced at a merc GLK suv. And the guy who designed the seat probably was more a carpenter. As hard as nails. Now for a car manufacturer that claims: "The best or Nothing" they should have included a pillow to comfort your behind.
Thats why all those modern high end Audi, BMW, Merc, Landrover, SUV drivers are in the fast lane all of the time.
They've got what is known in the enduro world as " monkey butt "
