Low beam problem, with its own life :(

Hello everyone.

I'm new here.

Mikky from the Netherlands with a Land Cruiser 90 series from 1996.

I have a question. Since yesterday I have been having a problem with my low beam lights turning on themselves. (only the front) sometimes they go out on their own. If that is not the case, I must first turn the lighting switch all the way on and then turn it off again. only then do the lights go out again.

What I have also noticed is that when my lights are off. and I flash 1x with the high beam, the low beams remain on (again only the front) I checked the wiring as far as possible. light switch removed and opened as far as possible and checked. nothing strange to see either. relay changed. changed lamps. relay/fuse box dismantled to assess the inside. Unfortunately, no success so far.

It's really just about the front low beam headlights. even the instrument lighting remains off.

My big question: is there anyone who has also experienced this and could perhaps help me?

Thank you very much and have a Happy New year in advance!

Just guessing but try to find the relevant earth connection and tighten it up or clean off any corrosion then tighten. Often with car electrics it’s the simple things that present very confusing problems

Thank you, I will look in to that!
