Not sure how the sales thread works so apologise if I've done something wrong!
TL;DR: Anything that could go wrong has gone wrong and has been fixed. This is worry free motoring, I didn't worry for the full year after I had the work done to prove it. Would like £5,000 for it.
Currently at 169,497 miles, will go up until it's sold as I drive it to work! I have all the papers for the work I've had done to it since I bought it, there are some receipts from the previous owner too.
Good Bits:
- 12 Month MOT clean MOT
- New exhaust
- 27/28mpg on a mixed run (can do 36mpg in France at a steady 55mph with people in it)
- 8 leather seats with no tears because I'm diligent in making my leather creamy, working it in. You know looking after leather seats is very much like making love to a beautiful woman etc
- Injectors done at ~150,000 miles (documented on here) - fuel rails were changed which apparently isn't needed but I'm a good guy, I do things properly.
- Air suspension has been more or less completely overhauled last year (invoice)
- Gangster glass (ganster glass scares rioters, fact)
- EGR "Delete"
- Fuel Trimmer
- Rear shock absorbers replaced with proper genuine Toyota shocks from Australia mate, strewth
- Welding done at the weekend by a trained monkey
- Heated seats to keep your curry/fish & chips warm on the way home
- Air con that's cold*
- Timing belt/water pump changed last year, ~9,000 miles ago
- New alternator, was new 2 years ago atleast
Bad Bits:
- No record of gearbox oil being changed. Was going to do it but it doesn't slip or anything, so is there much point?
- Some door switches don't work, especially the boot door. So if you're opening it from being locked be quite or it'll fire the alarm off.
-Air con was blocked off to the back - BUT - I've been informed by princesses who have had a ride in the back of my wagon that it's "too cold" for them. So you know, plenty of opportunity to give a damsel in distress that you rescue from the rioters for a cuddle
- Chip on the windscreen, but not enough to bother the MOT man. Possible it will be enough to make rioters think you've got a gun and will shoot through your own window at them.
- Scuff on rear quarter which cost me 10 years of my no claims discount, which leads me on to...
- Rear parking sensors work when they want to. They don't fail on!!! I have one spare BNIB Official Toyota sensor if this bothers you enough to investigate, only bothered me the one time I parked by feel
Meh Bits:
- Still life in the tyres, would estimate if you drive like me they'd do until about February or beyond. I don't know.
- Cracks on dashboard, par of the course with the Land Cruiser of this style and vintage. Scares rioters as they think you face planted one of their lot in to it, because you're hard.
It's located in Stourbridge. I'll post some photos of it tomorrow.
Thanks all!
