Need Advice

Hi, I have a 1988 BJ74 and the 4wd light always goes. The 4wd drive is not engaged and the hubs are free. If anyone knows whats has happened or any ideas on the subject i would appreciate it.

How do you mean "the 4wd light always goes".

Do you mean the light always stays on or doesnt come on at all?

Its quite a simple circuit, with a switch on the transferbox that should switch the light on when you engage 4wd low and another one for when you engage 4wd high.

Check all the connectors and earths.

Might be a leak in the vacuum tubes that activate/deactivate the centre diff so it won't switch and the lights go out.
