I have a 1988 Land crusier. When I turn the key I get no power and I cannot get it to start. Checked fuses, replaced the fuseable links, have power at the batter, power at the starter etc… the only noise i get when I turn the key is a clicking noise in EFI main relay? Any ideas? Any help is great. Thanks

Well I am getting power to the starter, but it doesn’t do anything when I turn the key. No noise.. no nothing.

Smack the starter with a hammer , you might get lucky but more likely you might at least hear it try to turn so you know its time to replace it .

I will try this, but the big thing is I have no power to the dash, horn or anything when I turn the key.

I'm not good with electrics but I think I would start by checking all connections at the starter motor and then alternator , and then check all fuses .

Clean battery terminals - simple things first !

To me it sounds like a bad connection. Maybe check one of the terminals is not cracked, which happens. Is the battery fully charged? That would also behave same way

Battery fully charged. Don’t see any cracks. Thanks but I will look it over again.

Thanks I will double check everything. I have a feeling when I find the problem it will be something simple.

It’s not the starter, I can run a direct wire from battery to starter and she fires right up. I have changed all fuses, replaced fuseable links. When I turn the key, I get an audible click in the EFI.. I have to be getting a power drop from the battery to the starter, but that doesn’t explain why nothing on the dash works. Thanks for the help
