Ok so my tyres have turned up today and I must say that they look bloody awesome, and for the price epic. I can't wait to get them fitted

What was the price, and where from?

I had some similar ages ago, folks used to run and hide when i drove through the city, noisy or what!

Great in the gloop though...

Great tyres for knackering your transmission up, but they are good in the mud

Sorry for the late reply. Yes they are speed rated, they carry a Q rating them up to 100 mph! Not that i would fancy reaching 100 mph on them o_O

I never think to check speed ratings but none of my tyres fell of at 100mph .

Main issue, Shane, is if you have an accident and your tyres aren't appropriately rated your insurance may be void and plod will also likely take an interest. Some of the earlier Simex copies were rated at 56mph from memory - so were really only good for genuine off road use. If you're running a big truck - 80 series with lots of add-ons, say, you also need to be wary of load ratings for the same reason.
