Hey everyone. I've been having an issue on start-up the past couple months where sometimes I have no air coming out of the front vents, regardless of what I press on the climate control panel for anywhere between 30 seconds to 10 minutes, then the AC will just switch on and then the AC will function completely fine.

Ill press the AC button, air/vent direction buttons, medium-high-low buttons to no avail, it will just decide on its own when to come on. I wouldn't be so bothered if it was just a delay with the AC compressor, but I get no air at all out of the vents.

I have a JDM 1996 FZJ80, strangely enough, I can switch on the rear AC from start-up just fine, its just the front vents that take sometime to kick in.

There is a relay/control module behind the glove box that is your problem most likely.

Haven't taken a look yet but how do I access that? Hopefully its just faulty wiring considering the symptoms I've been getting.

Is the problem only when the climate is in "auto" ?
If so try turning that off and see if it will work then.
