Thanks CG, yep, brand name, the material used is Urethane and there's different grades.
The red so I am told, is as hard as hell, I have the blue ones which have some flex without being overly soft or hard.
They seem superior to normal rubber which perishes/cracks - time will tell ,
Thats what these nolothane ones are, a sort of very dark blue/purple colour.
I seem to have stoked a good bit of discussion with this thread, but I was swayed to the poly bushes on price... thats always a false cause really, often ending up paying twice for inferior longevity etc...
Anyway, thinking on - if the bolts all free up nicely, and haven't too much pitting, I think ill give these a fit and report back with the feel and ride results.
I know poly bushes were favoured in performance motors because they were less flexible and gave firmer cornering etc.... not something I expect in my 3 ton top heavy vertical pendulum 80 series .
I've always loved that sofa soft ride in the beast, and that's definitely a credit to the evolution of the landcruiser... been in 60, 75, 80, 90, 100 & 200 series across deserts for many years and I've felt the evolution in great detail!
Economising on bushes might be a bad choice in hindsight, but I think ill call Mr Toyota on Monday and see what is available, then maybe send these polys back.... Will update soon
