Hi Gary - good report and glad you chaps had a good time. Sounds like these Baob guys need a lesson from your boets down south about how to organise a trip (not bitching and whining to clients would be a good place to start!). That Gite looks excellent! Myself and Julia are likely gonna be working in Zambia in the Safari industry for a short spell and for background reading I read a statement in a book that said "the most important thing you can do is remember clients names". Hmmm

Don't get me wrong here folks - we really enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we'll definitely go back sometime soon, for a longer trip around that part of France and down to the Med coast (Provence area) I think, though, that a bit of further, in-depth investigation might have made things a bit easier!! Must remember to not work so hard before going away next time!!! 
Something else I forgot to comment on is that there were only about 2 occasions when we briefly didn't have a mobile phone signal! Very handy for sending pictures home so they could see what they were missing

Skipping to 1st night of the raid proper, the camp site was by the river which kept Steve, Kev and Ray entertained for ages:
I think Ray is saying something about how cold the water is:
He's soon relaxing though:
Kev waded up stream and then washed back down again in the current and the others had a go:
Day 2 of the raid had us squeezing along an overgrown track and then driving along a river:
It was a bit of a wet day:
For some reason it was the drivers job to jog down the road a few hundred meters and back to check we could get through:
Picnic stop later that day when it stopped raining:
Think this is day 2 and I think everyone rang that bell
There was a wall with a steep drop off so obviously you go and stand on the wall
Even at about 5300ft ASL on a little track there were speed limit signs!

Here we go, these are some of my pics and videos of the raid.
Here we are just arriving in France.
First night at the stop over camp site.
The french kindly put killometer markers down the centre of their Motorways so we took the oppertunity to check the calibration of the trip meter.

The first campsite including rock art and river.
Well here it is the time that I lost my side step.
We went through some lovely wooded sections.

you know how it is, its black with buttons, knobs and big red LED numbers on it......that makes it a must have thingy that does somthing but not sure what. That does not matter cause it looks good
