rear shock removal..bottom end!

Had a busy night tonight, front diff spacers fitted, new oil in front diff then onto the rear suspension for the +2" springs and 80 series rear shockers.
I removed the lower bolt and dropped the axle down and then brought it back up to reduce load on the lower bush,then tried to pop it off the stub.. it would not budge! 24" pry bar lots of wd40 on the bushes and I cannot pop it off! Any tips?

Are you going to try to re-use the bush?
If not, start drilling!

Drill the rubber? I don't need shocks so maybe cut though it to release tension.

Tried one side at a time doing this ? one side axle complete up, one side complete down ? didn't give me any problem, it just fitted.
