Thanks Stu, but I would prefer a jaw mount if I can find one.....

I have a spare nato hitch if required. its yellow and in good condition.

Thanks Jon, the simple ideas are often the best.....

For the receiver part of my rear bumper I bought a hitch extender intended for rv's off a seller on ebay and chopped off the part I needed leaving a bit spare for a front receiver one day and a stub to make a drop hitch from by welding a plate on. More expensive than DIY but saves some messing about.

Mine came from a UK seller and there was at least one other seller. Can't be any more help than that at the moment till I get back to my computer.

Found one! http://www.tizaro.com/product/FL32GG At £65 (inc shippng) its a bit pricey, but better than driving round the country to find a metal merchant that will sell me short lengths of box. They are actually imported from somewhere and so take a couple of weeks to arrive, but that's fine. Thanks for the idea Jon....
