 The answer is energy.
The question asks for a word ending with the three letters g-r-y, but does not stipulate that they must be in that order.
Well done, I was beginning to think no-one would get it.

Right, a simpler one; I know a word of letters three. Add two more, and fewer there will be

There is another too - synergy

A train left Glasgow heading for London travelling at 100mph
.
Another train left London heading for Glasgow travelling at 96mph
.
Which was closest to Manchester when they passed each other?

Come on Chas we're not falling for that old one.

Which weighs more, a tonne of feathers or a tonne of lead?

Fooled, we are not. We all know that neither of those trains goes anywhere near Manchester.

I turn polar bears white
And I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
And girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
And normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
And make your champagne bubble.
If you squeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you answer this riddle?

(The simplest alternative answer to the above riddle could be 'NO' as this is what the riddle asks. As most cannot answer the question, the reply remains 'No'. The third alternative answer could be 'TIME' based on a poem of the same name.)

I never said they were going to Manchester just which was the nearest. Which weighs more, a tonne of feathers or a tonne of gold?

Is it the gold?

Come on Chas, you're slipping. We got the train question in primary school! Yes, I did got to school. Once. Didn't like it.

The feathers weigh more. Gold is measured in troy ounces. There are 16 oz. in a pound. There are 12 troy ounces in a troy pound.
