Should this pipe end in mid air?

It is the pipe which is clipped onto the back of the rear power steering pump reservoir... a 8mm O/D rubber vacuum pipe. Perhaps some kind person with a 24 valve have a look. It's only a bonnet job but you may have to feel round the back to find it.

Thanks

Frank,

I have a similar pipe clipped onto the PS fluid return hose to the reservoir. It must be a breather of some sort as it is open to the air via a small filter stuck on the end. It dissappears under the engine so can't see wher it comes from at the moment.

Thanks

You are better off not knowing where the pipe goes. It's a jungle down there.
Thanks for looking.....puts my mind at rest.

OMG
You have a filter on the end. I have just a straight connector. How big is your filter? Mine perhaps has dropped off unless it looks like a straight connector? If open I'll put a filter on. Only at least 13 years without one!
