Its a hard decision but life changes mean I need to sell "Thomas", and yes I know I may regret it in a year or so, but we will be funding a new build, that we hope will gives us the adventures we seek.
Its listed on EBay - but would rather it went to a forum member so i can keep up with his travels. £12.5k or £15k with your choice from the extras
A Toyota Landcruiser Amazon 4.2D Auto 1HDFTE, Model year 2001 - 4 Speed Auto (Torque converter addressed)
Thomas came to us in December 2018 as a standard vehicle. It has since been built up for self supported travel. As a family we have loved the adventures this truck has given us, having travelled to a number of European countries, recently returning from a 1400mile trip, however we realised as the family has grown ,we now need a larger vehicle and cant justify this as a once a year play toy, so we hope it finds a new loving owner. We have added 17k miles in the 6 years we have had it. Its a 23 year old truck that's been used on great adventures, so its not perfect. There's over £10k of included modifications.
As a complete package Thomas is ready to go, add fuel water and food and you can be off grid for 10days as an induvial.
Road tax : 189.75 for 6 months
I have 2 keys and the V5.
Recent straight through MOT (April 2024) no advisories
Initially a health inspection was undertaken by Overland Cruisers and a period of baselining maintenance was undertaken before modifications started. Lots of work has since been undertaken (key points listed below) as well as frequent Oil changes (6k Miles) 2 box files of paperwork and instructions will be supplied

Alternator and all 3 belts (May '24)
All 4 Wheel Bearings (June '22 - Overland Cruisers)
Front Diff rebuild (June '22 - Overland Cruisers)
Body work, Windscreen removed, rust cut out and replaced & Rust cut out and new metal fitted to rear aches (Jan '22)
New steering rack, upper wishbones, ball joints (Dec '22)
UJs replaced and props balanced.
Roll over cut out IP connection replaced

Bad points
Front sway bar bushes need replacing (Genuine bushes and new brackets are included in the sale)
Rear diff lock. The electrics and switches are fine, needs a new actuator, not been a priority for us.
Slight leak from rocker cover (hence the new gasket which I was going to do at the same time as the fuel lines, inlet clean and clearances as part of that service.)
Running boards removed in readiness for sliders
There is some surface rust underneath, to be expected. It was on or list of preventive maintenance to do. Nothing structural. worst bit is on the fuel tank cover plate, but lined up a fibre replacement through the forum.
Bodywork,
We have done some laning and mild off road in the truck, so there are pinstripes to the bodywork and small dent to the offside rear.
There is a small rust blister on the offside front wing (about the size of a 10p piece).
The rear tailgate has a dent on the internal top, which was there when we bought it. This doesn't affect security or water tightness.
