Whilst I can see the benefits of reducing (unwelcome) feedback through the steering wheel, I can also imagine that the driving experience will be duller due to the complete lack of it.
On a tricky road/offroad situation that may be even more relevant?
Nissan plans to sell cars controlled by steer-by-wire technology within a year.
