It certainly grates so stripped it to take a look. There is a horn contact/brass ring behind my non airbag wheel which I simply cleaned and greased... all sorted now as quiet as a mouse and no play in the steering... I'm sure you experienced 80 guys knew that anyway but another little job ticked off lol....

Nicely done. I know the sound, like nails down a blackboard, most annoying.

Steering can get a bit of play but is adjustable if not too bad on the top of the steering box. There's other threads on here about it.

That's a good start you've made there on the road to baselining your truck.

Thanks, that's just what it sounded like...

We have a list of works compiled of which there are many. Once we decide the first tranche I'll post how we go, somewhere there is a decent truck waiting to come out. I could just buy a good finished landcruiserer but there's no fun in that... For me anyway :icon-wink:
