Temp Insurance

HI

I need to get temp Insurance for my Hilux to move it from 1 workshop to another. I went back to Adrian Flux, who insured me last time to move it from Guernsey to the UK, but they said they couldn't do it, but was unable to tell me why. Its still has the Guernsey plates, maybe thats the issue?

I would appriciate any reccommendations for insurance company's.

Why not insure with Guernsey insurance company for short period while being transferred to UK if its still on island plates or was that AF on Guernsey

It's still on Guernsey plates.

I can only insure via a Guernsey Co. If I still lived in Guernsey.

I think i will have to wait till I have uk plates.

So island insurance won't accommodate you for one days insurance for transportation dispite paying them a lot of money over your time with them Ahh do you have any friends with a drive anything policy who would be willing to go on a booze cruise with you other than that I'm out of the office

Apologies, I have not expained the situation very well.

I left Guernsey about 2yrs ago, but put the Hilux into storage there for about 6 months. I then arrange for Adrian Flux to cover me for a week to allow me to bring it to the UK. I'm afraid its been sitting at my workshop since then with Guernsey plates. This is mainly because I decided to do my next bucket list trip, which happens Japan. I did a 3 month road trip around Japan in a campervan, which was more thn amazing. I started this at the end of March this year.

But now I have that ticked off. I want to get the Hilux camper sorted and start doing some trips in it.

I just need to get my act together and get it registered in the UK.
