TPS adjustment

Replaced my throttle position sensor yesterday and now its worse then before. My question is is the throttle plate open when mounting the sensor or should it be closed? Is the tabs that is on the throttle body insert into the slots on the tps or rest on the back? I do have a meter but cant adjust cause it opens to much (plate). So strange

Maybe the attached will help.

In fairness, most of us in Europe have diesels so a bit of info re your truck helps, like year , engine type, manual or auto, etc. When we have the relevant info we can be helpful.
