UZJ100 Rust hole rear of frame

All,

I found a 100 series with this rust hole at the rear of the frame (almost near the muffler tip, outside part of frame well behind the tire). The rust is not anywhere else on the frame like this and the frame has not been coated. In anyone’s experience would it be worth the repair? I have a great 2008 FJC and a few other older Yotas. I Really like the 100 and the rest of it is pretty solid. Opinions and knowledge welcome!

Its probably the simplest welding repair you could ask for. Just have it cut out to good metal and weld in a repair. Definitely worth doing.

Thank you. I have done this type of thing with a FJ55 and a 60. I am in the Mid-Atlantic US, so haven't seen anything like this on others..usually the bottom of the frame. I will go ahead and make the purchase and get to work. Thanks again!
