VIN search

Hello all, I recently started restoring my 92‘ Prado, and I googled a vin de-coder to find out some info on my rig … plugging in the vin onto the sites drop out menu says the truck is a 2005 and the image is of modern prado. I have a boxy 2 door prado? has anyone experienced this?

A lot of info can be interpreted from the aluminium vin plate riveted to the firewall.
I'm presuming with the year and boxy shape, you have a 70 series ?
Prado was and is still used on some models/series, but still odd the info you have comes up.

Yup,70 series. Its is odd and I hope its just me not looking incorrectly. This truck was exported to Spain before coming to NY and its my 1st Toyota so I am learning as I go. Thanks

I think they were also known as Landcruiser 2
