interesting option to increase capacity in your waeco fridge

BUT i have read elsewhere this would void the Waeco warranty
and the top part would only be at "fridge" temperatures if main unit run at -18 for example

I like this idea, and it gives more scope for frozen stuff at the bottom whilst stopping your chocolate from melting in the top, but at that price!!!!!

you could buy a 20l coolbox that would do similar job as this lid part for much less

Yup, but you are then running two compressors. I did that on my last trip with the CF50 and the small Waeco freezer (can't remember the model) but the battery (brand new Numax) couldn't cope with the 24 hour ferry crossing. Having it go as flat as a pancake on the crossing it clearly did some damage, and it would struggle to last the night from then on.
