AFAIK the 5 sp has a combined Engine & ECT ECU, while the 4 sp boxes have an ECU separate from the Engine ECU.

My converter (from a A442F box) seems bad and I wish to get a second hand one! The one I have found is from 2004 which is a 100 series!
