what is the part number of the turbo assembly of my Prado 2001 - 1KD FTV. is there anyway i can physically verify the part number. plus does any body have experience of using the Chinese rebuild kits in the turbo assembly (see attached pdf). cheers Farhan

well got it checked by opening up the exhaust pipe, it is a hollow piece of pipe (it may have been a catalytic converter in earlier life but may have been emptied out by the previous owner or it may have been a hollow pipe from the start)

additionally - the needle does move a bit from the dead level to C and a tick above C when the engine achieves normal temperature.

Checked the coolant temperature sensor's resistance as per 1KD workshop manual - it was as per specs and equal to another replacement sensor replaced the thermostat valve with a new one checked the engine coolant temperature by connecting the scanner after it had idled for 15 ~ 20 minutes, the...

engine temperature gauge needle stays around the C mark on my Prado 2001 1KD. i am cruising on main roads without any passengers / load. the ambient during the driving is 18 ~ 20 deg C. is that normal?

had the same issue, door mirrors kept goig past the required position and later on folding on to the body. you can manually move the mirrors in the desired position accompanied with a loud clunk. after this hopefully the mirrors should work fine with the motor. however if this keeps happening...

diggerdave thanks for the reply fuel filter is new air filter is new checked the egr valve a month ago - clean as a whistle can you elaborate on the idle speed - the engine idles at 850 rpm cheers
