Salisbury plain

Myself, holly the dogs and Stu/ nick headed to Salisbury early sat morning.
It was a last min type trip that just got casually mentioned at lincomb but we made it happen.
Thanks to Stu who has some map reading skills. Nice to have Nick come.
We had a good long day on Saturday and set up camp around 9pm.
I'll add some photos later on.
Was a really nice chilled weekend with plenty of tea and chatting rubbish. I've not done any greening for ages and we really enjoyed it.

We did a smallish part of the plains at the weekend and alot of the ridgeway area. I have not been around the ridgeway for a long time due to lane closures so was very happy that the amount has reopened.
There was alot of byway sign posts even deep into the lanes so finding your way around was easy compared to alot of areas.
We had a great weekend and wild camped 1 night which I am.not keen on sleeping on the ridgeway but this time was uneventful.

If you like your paintwork I would recommend the ridgeway

Bit of "field mechanics" from Karl. Cruiser was being starved of fuel, Whipped the strainer out and you can see why.

With this being the first trip for the truck I thought we may have had a couple of issues. The fuel side was always going to be a big ? As it had Been standing for so long. Wasn't too bad really. Worse part was stripping the floor out and taking the fridge out. It was a good excuse for another cup of tea and another chat

Nick, that's a cracking rear bumper / rear swing out carrier combo you've got there. Is that new? Looks fantastic. I'd love to hear more about that .....

BTW. the pictures for next year's calendar have already been picked. It's 12 pictures of my trailer ha ha.

We did around 100 miles all on dirt roads over 2 days there is so much more to do I want to go again asap.
