Nick was kind enough to give us this book documenting our trip to Romania this year when i picked him up the other day to save him hanging around waiting for Prospeed to repair his exhaust .

They say its the thought that counts but his is excuse is we paid for his restaurant meal when he ran out of funny money so wanted to give something back (personally i think its just that Helen is the first girl to have spoken to him in many moons but don't tell him i said that )

The quality is excellent and i'm sure many others would like a similar book documenting their own trips so here's just a few pics to give you an idea -

I had intended to post a couple of good pics showing Nicks truck but they seem to be absent from the book i have no idea why but luckily Helen has a few in her phone which i will be sure to add here just as soon as i work out how

I've done similar on previous trips using photobox, great way of saving the memories. The site Nick used seems to be geared better for road trips with the route maps etc.

Might push me to actually finish one for the 2015 and 2017 Morocco trips

I wish I had spent more time selecting the photos as I did it on my phone and couldn't tell that some were duplicates. Another ten minutes on the pooter and it would've a masterpiece. Still rather chuffed with how it turned out though.

I had no idea what it would be like. Just upped a couple of photos wherever we went then added more when there was reception. Books good although Shaynes copy has someone else's snaps hiding at the back.

Repayment? Pah! It's everyone for themselves at our place, we must be the worst hosts ever!

Still, I for one enjoyed all the banter, cross-talk and the piss-take, it's so quiet now at the house, it's like it never happened.

The truck is in the workshop just now, replacing the front drivers' side wheel bearing, fixing a hydraulic leak on the PS, welding up my chassis crack, and replacing a disappeared exhaust mount.

Next weeks' job will be replacing the 'candy-twist' sector shaft and pitman arm with the 'upgrade' 105 parts...

In order of easyness I've re attached the fridge slide which rattled loose using some t nuts, thanks richard. Had my exhaust fixed which magically unattached itself at calais. My front diff lock light keeps flashing up locked, drove all the way back from wales with it on, but theres a plan for that. And theres a little crack in the bracket for the ( big chunky metal thing under the truck with a bush in it) That needs sorting but thats waiting for pay day. oh, the ARB. And maybe bleed each corner too...

He's a good investment Karl whichever way you look at it so invite him everywhere lads , a 3 course meal in funny money works out about 50p in stirling and you won't get that kind of return from bankers

Nah he was good company i near pissed myself laughing when he mysteriously vanished from my rear view mirror only to explain he stopped to take a selfie with a road sign when he caught up again
