    Timbren Bump stops

Hi uHu, the new rubber spring sits on the suspension arm and deforms a tiny bit. I suspect it is giving me a few mm of lift but I didn't think to measure before I fitted them.. I'll try to get some pics and upload them later.

    Timbren Bump stops

Just back from a 1200km trip with the rubber springs fitted and they have performed really well. 800km on Zimbabwean tar with numerous potholes large and small + 400km in the bush and I'm over the moon with the new addition to the front suspension. Car handles the potholes and rough terrain...

I might give that a try on my 100 before I loose a trim or two..

Funnily enough, I had the same thought last night.. Also thinking I might look at the rear springs as well and see if any of their other rubber springs might work on the back.

    Update on the 60

New clutch fitted, slave cylinder overhauled, rear diff pinion seal replaced, 2 new batteries and battery terminals fitted. Tomorrow it's off to the spray shop to have a full respray and a new windscreen fitted and then the new decals applied.. Can't wait to see it once it's done.

    Timbren Bump stops

Quick update. I fitted the hollow rubber springs to the front of my 100 today, I'm very happy with the upgrade. The car handles the pot holes much better than before but the main difference seems to be the overall ride on the road. Noticeably less body roll at the front and it's really...

Should i replace my freewheel if i change my clutch?

I need a new clutch in my 60, my mechanic has recommended giving the flywheel a light skim just to make sure it's a good surface. In Harare that'll only cost me $20 and if dropped in first thing I'll get it back before lunch so seems like a no brainer.

    Front brake upgrade

I also have Hilux calipers on the front of my 60. It's a fairly straight forward swap. Loads of info in other posts.

    Timbren Bump stops

Has anyone tried Timbren bump stops I was wondering what the difference was between the Timbren ones and a hollow rubber spring of a similar size from AV Industrial, apart from the price? https://exitoffroad.com/product/timbren-abstof-active-off-road-front-bumpstops-kit/...

    Remaining 60 spares.

Hi Andy, I'm looking for a new set of wheels for my 60, obviously I can't buy any of yours because the shipping to Zimbabwe would be stupidly expensive. I was wondering what width/offset you recommend for a 60 without the arch flares. I've been looking at a couple of options available in South...

    2H EDIC question

Thanks Andy, I know the manifold heater isn't working but as the car lives in Zimbabwe I'm not going to worry too much about it. It was 34c here yesterday..

    2H EDIC question

Should the EDIC on a 2H stay in the over inject position for a few seconds while the engine is starting? Mine flicks into the over inject position when you turn the ignition on but the immediately moves to the run position before the key is turned to start. The engine does start although it...

    "tuned" profile fuel pins.

    That's good. Thanks

    "tuned" profile fuel pins.

Just out of interest, what would you say was a safe maximum EGT. I have both a boost gauge (running 1.1bar) and an EGT gauge with the probe in the manifold just before the turbo. On a full throttle up hill pull I get a max EGT of about 650c - 700c would you say that was ok?

    Parabolic springs

Just fitted a set of Terrain Tamer parabolic springs to my 60 series and although I've only driven a few Kms the difference is very noticeable. Much smoother ride, the truck feels like it has suspension now compared to the original girder like leaf springs. Fairly reasonable price for the whole...

    Driving Land Cruisers

I 'upgraded' from my 09 E280 diesel estate to the newer 2015 E350d estate and to be honest I'm not entirely sure it was a good move.. It's not any better on fuel despite what the figures say and the amount of stupid tech is worrying. I've just been quote around £500 to fix the DRL in the...

    Terrain Tamer Spring Kit

Interestingly I got the L/H and R/H callipers from different suppliers (it's a Harare thing) and one fitted without any filing the other needed a tiny bit of adjustment.

    Terrain Tamer Spring Kit

Hi Felix My existing wheels are 15" x 10j offset not known but they stick out by approx 6 inches and back space approx 4 inches so my guess is that works out at about an offset of approx -50. The wheels I'm looking at and bear in mind there's not much choice in Harare are 16 x 10 with an offset...

    HJ61 - Namibia

Did you get any word back from CentreLine? I'm also looking at 16" rims for mine but I don't have flares on mine so not sure how wide I can go without looking stupid.. Would you be able to measure from the depth from the centre of your rim to the edge so I have an idea how deep it is?

    Terrain Tamer Spring Kit

It's got to be better than with those old leaf springs.. It's sitting nice and straight and height wise I'm really happy. Now I've got to try and find the right wheels. I'm thinking of 16 x 10J with a -45 offset but I'm reluctant to buy something without offering it up and checking how far they...

    2H Voltage Regulator

The one on Cruiserworld looks exactly the same as the one I found this one on partsouq, It's the same as I found another website that suggests it's a replacement for 27700 57090 which I think is the original part number.. So now I'm not sure because of the connector. The wires on the alternator...

Hi all I'm looking for a picture and possibly the part number for the voltage regulator on a 2H 60 series 24v set up. Unfortunately a previous owner has improvised and replaced the voltage regulator with a non standard Bosch regulator.. it appears to be working but I'd like to get it back to...

    1HDT fuel pump service

That's what the guy here in Harare has suggested, I only really wanted him to fit the modified fuel pin I've got and to set the pump up to match the G Turbo but he wasn't keen to that without stripping and servicing the pump as well.. seem a bit of overkill to me.
