    I am very sad tonight,,,,,,,,,,

My old man had a D-4D Avensis estate. He hated every moment of ownership, it was actually the most unreliable car he's ever owned!

    Somerset flooding.

Apologies Graham if I overreacted but I've been reading a lot about what's going on at the moment and it's got me a bit worked up and most of all frustrated that I currently can't do anything to help.

    Turbo removal

I helped clean up a variable vane turbo for a friend a while ago (a vw) and the simplest method was to soak the one side in oven cleaner, being careful not to soak the seal, and then blast some air through it. We did this with it in situ.

    Somerset flooding.

If I still had the 90 I'd have volunteered to help but unfortunately I've not got a vehicle suitable. BTW I think my boss might have tried to get in touch.

    Lanes Lost - Kent

Ah, well depending on the bike there's plenty of options for extra fuel capacity. Do you see many bikes headed out on the trails in oz?
  13. mrdelmonti

    Lanes Lost - Kent

Fuel range? I get nearly 200miles out of tank when I'm not hanging about, if I managed to do that many lanes on the bike in one day I think I'd collapse!

    Lanes Lost - Kent

Looks like more lanes have been lost to us, this time in Kent. I received the following email earlier: "Dear Sir / Madam Byways Open to All Traffic (BOATs) MR45A, Snodland and NS245 & NS221, Luddesdown, Making Permanent of the Experimental Scheme of Traffic Regulation Byways Open to All...

Thanks for that Andy, looks like a very good piece of kit.

    My new journey begins

Feel free to ask questions, luckily I didn't have many to ask when I first got mine as I'd already helped tear most of Trevor's apart!

    You're driving home for Christmas......

I had one of those for a while, only 1hp so it was pretty frugal but the emissions were a nightmare
  21. mrdelmonti

    You're driving home for Christmas......

I'm not arguing that not wearing a seatbelt might save you but it's a very small percentage of scenarios in which it would help. A seatbelt will save you in the most common types of car crash. I also don't have a problem with people that choose not to wear a belt, at the end of the day that's...

    ARC car wash nightmare

Most drive through washes advise you not to use them if you have a rear mounted spare, personally I'd never use one anyway. Nasty scratchy things.

'SWAMPY' MY 02 LWB 3.0 D4D GX Colorado

LED lighting looks good, do you not find it a little clinical though? I think I'd rather go with a "warm" style lighting.

    A bit of controversy

Jesus, calm down Graham, he said he wasn't aiming it at anyone in particular so why take it so personally. At the end of the day it's a forum, a place to share knowledge and express views so grow up a little.

Gauging Interest - My 2005 120 D4-d coming up for sale

    Insurance due, selling vehicle?

Have you purchased a replacement yet? I've found that most insurers are fine with arranging an "overlap" period. The other thing it might be worth doing is ringing your current insurer and ask if they can keep your insurance rolling on a month to month basis until it sells which I have done in...

OK...So does anyone know the point of the small claims court?????

Well there's always the option of a large group of LCs parking up in front of their premises with a large informative sign, and of course I'm sure the local paper would get a tip off...

    Elecronic Diesel Tuning Devices

Or just wind up the pump a little. Yes it doesn't have the sophistication of running a specific map and just raises fuel at all levels but with the intercooler and exhaust you're going to need more fuel for the majority of the rev range anyway. A custom map (considering the collie ecu requires a...

We should all have one of these!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you that don't know Alex Roy set the fastest time across the US on the original cannonball run route in 2006, his time was 31 hours, 4 minutes beating the previous record of 32:07. This took Alex Roy years of preparation and equipment to complete including a failed attempt, he...
