Oh dear! So which model of LC are you getting next?

Well done Graham! Out of interest what did it go for in the end?

Gutted for you Graham: Good to see someone could see past the mileage to the excellent car.

She is off to Tanzania.

The last one I sold,

Green LC (7).jpg
.

Went to Kenya.

Hey it's only a car. Well sold Gra.

Interesting, I know someone going over there next week.
Doubt it was him though lol.
Congrats on the sale.

I never owned a car for 6 and half years before, :(

So looking for some thing else now.

A little bit taken by the Avensis D4-d, about 2007 onwards.
Maybe estate.

I had a Corolla verso with the 180bhp d4d lump in it, fantastic engine. You can get that in the avensis it's called the T180 pulls like hell!!! Same lump as the lexus is220

I had an Avensis T180 estate. Huge thing. Very good car. Long though. Kept running over the kerb at T junctions. Comfortable. Quick. Reliable. Versatile.

My old man had a D-4D Avensis estate. He hated every moment of ownership, it was actually the most unreliable car he's ever owned!

In my brothers work, among his real job, he keeps the fleet on the road, they have a few diesel Avensis.

Not the T180, but the general T3 2.0L ones.

All 2005 - 2007.

I think the youngest miles is well over 200k.

Not the most inspirational, but he likes them for what they are.

I'd second that, I've never owned one but they are very popular here in Ireland, there just seem to be some lemons though and most of them are ok. An awful lot of the taxis here were Carinas (diesel), then they went Avensis and suddenly went VW (Passat TDI), think that has to tell you something?

Well done Gra, you made the decision and followed through, which is commendable.

I get way too attached to my cars, every one has been a long timer, unless circumstances have dictated otherwise.

I plan the present truck to outlive me, but it's never going to be cost effective! Still there's more to life and loves than money, well that's the way I see it. Horses for courses and all that.

Have fun deciding on the next love affair!

Having no fun at all at the moment :(

see you next week when you have bought another landcruiser

Trouble is, even when Gra gets another landcruiser, he'll be complaining "I didn't have this trouble with my old one" and "I used to get better mileage out of my old one" and such like!!

I'll get my coat...

very unlikely.

Not unless the "6 numbers " come up, and I head off to Toyota for a top spec. Amazon V8 petrol, fuel bills no object etc, etc, etc,

Yeah im with you Graham. But when i try to look at downsizing i end up the same as you maybe one of these, maybe one of those:lol:.

I was looking at the passat highline estate, audi a4 avant quattro, ford focus titanium estate. but i like sitting up higher, you can see over walls and hedges when pulling out at juntions etc. so i ended up full circle back to a newer landruiser, which if my plan comes together i will be upgrading later this year.
