    Semi Covert Winch Bumper Mk2

Here it is :) much more elegant and stronger design. Super easy to fit, 8mm/6mm and 5mm construction. If you want one gimme a shout, 250 quid plus postage. :) Off road use only but also has some convenient "jack securing brackets" on the bottom with holes in them.

when does a 90 fall over?

Cool :) do SJ's really fall over that often? I just recently watched a vid claiming that was BS started by some dude who was influential in the car media whose son had rolled his. Anyway, reason I am asking is I rekon I was pretty close the other day. I didn't have any inclinometer or angle...

when does a 90 fall over?

What kind of angle can one traverse in a 90 before the sphincter starts to get twitchy? Vid's would be cool if you have any! Thanks :)

LJ 70 turbo diesel With 200k Miles

Depends how well it's been looked after. If it's had regular oil and filter changes I wouldn't expect a rebuild required soon myself.

    Brake distribution valve thingy

Ok finally got round to finding the info in the ellery book I have, it's on page 319 in mine. Seems the spring needs to be under at least some tension when at ride height, mines as slack as mince. The measurement is taken from the centre of the lever pivot to the head of the adjuster where the...

Some one please save me from the hell that is rear brake caliper rebuild.....

Lol, I tried loads of things, the above and I tried pressuring it with a foot pump, which just resulted in loud bangs, in the end, three of my birds plastic crochet needles and I garnered success :) what a hateful job, gotta do it again tomorrow too, lol.

    24v winch

Ah thank you man. I really am clueless when it comes to auto electrics or the theory of it all really I can do the practical side if someone gives me all the stuff and says "wire that up" but as for working out myself, not a chance. The only advantage at this point is, I know of a 24v superwinch...

    Brake distribution valve thingy

That's how I figured it worked. This is what I think caused my calipers to seize up. Hardly moving, shit building up in the slider pins maybe, when they move they pull it over a bit and a bit more and a bit more etc till the outside pad is near enough dead and the inner pad is hardly worn. I...

    Brake distribution valve thingy

Thanks guys :) That is very odd, in my haynes book I cannot find anything relating to setting it up. It just says "if a new or replacement load sensing valve installed, have the valve adjusted by an authorised dealer or a brake specialist" In my Ellery book page 271 is about a limited slip...

    Brake distribution valve thingy

Does anyone know how the brake distribution valve thingy actually works? When I was welding up the back end of my chassis a couple of years ago I had to cut this off at the bracket as the bolts had become one with the bracket. After finishing rebuilding the chassis rails I just welded the...

    New Bronco

I like what I have seen tbh but then I am into truck racing so am looking at it from that angle. Don't think I would bother with it if I was into crawling or overlanding tbh

    New Bronco

It brakes the inside wheel to make the truck turn tighter, bit like a hoon handle only automatic (less fun)

Disconnected front anti roll bar difference vid

ok, so SPC arms have the ball joint on the arm, right, and the colorado and hilux surf/4runner have the balljoint in the top of the knuckle/spindle. Many aftermarket arms come with a adapater that is pressed into the top of the knuckle/spindle where the ball joint usually presses in and held at...

I have found a donor truck for spare stuff but it doesn't have a front drive prop shaft....

Yah I concur, just wondering if there's any major over steer or understeer, the country lanes round here are really ropey and emergency maneuvers are a given pretty much on most journeys, lol

I have found a donor truck for spare stuff but it doesn't have a front drive prop shaft....

Was the handling any different? like any surprises in the wet on corners and things like that? To the people wanting stuff, I havn't even been over to see it yet, so can't tell you sorry. I won't want the seats for sure but things like gearbox/trans and stuff is why I want it, so, sorry, I...

I have found a donor truck for spare stuff but it doesn't have a front drive prop shaft....

Ah sweet, it won't be getting a new MOT if I pick it up, I literally want it to use for spares and designing/making bumpers and sliders and skid plates and shit. So I would have to put it in "HL" to drive it home? Is this because the center diff would get "confused" and think the front...

I have found a donor truck for spare stuff but it doesn't have a front drive prop shaft....

I have found a manual transmission donor truck for spare stuff but it doesn't have a front drive prop shaft, it's got an MOT but is going for spares or repair. Can one drive long distances without the front prop shaft? If not can I do anything to make this happen (other than taking a prop shaft...

Project 'red van' (says the 4 year old) build thread

Dude I have absolutely no idea what they are worth sorry or how much I can stretch to atm, I'm really just after the wheels tbh I spose I could flog the tyres off them, not meaning to be cold or anything but I am looking to all terrains for my truck tbh.

Anyone good at electrics? I need to wire up loads of lights.

That would be super cool. I don't know the amp draw yet as I have no clue what I am doing, lol. I was looking at these: 7 - [Leaving Land Cruiser Club] but thinking maybe 7" may be a bit oversized. How does one determine which LED's are good and which are shite?

Anyone good at electrics? I need to wire up loads of lights.

I'm making a light bar for above the windscreen on my truck. It's going to have 5 or six spotlights on it. When it comes to wiring, I have no clue what I am doing, I just wing it normally. Do I wire every light with it's own circuit- relay, switch etc Or do I wire it with one switch, one relay...
