Just creeping down to -2 here down south

Forecast for heavy snow up until midday tomorrow though where I work, oh well I will have to go and play in their 4WD's and of course if that gets too scary, I will play in the Escort Van

Just hovering on zero in Morden.

Not been out in the LC today, just used the Volvo!!

It is -16 now!

Paul

- 6 here.

so since she is parked outisde i thought it would be a good time to change oil and filter, grease her all up, tighten belts and do a minor service. loverly lying on yer back on a piece of cardboard looking at lots of frozen truck.

and check if there was any damage after i slid sideways into a ditch earlier whilst i was out driving around the lanes near betws-y-coed. thankfully none.

Just got back into Gobowen station by train to pick up the truck (with wife and three kids in tow). Took me 10 minutes to get the truck defrosted enough to drive. Truck started first time - but sounded pretty rough for a short while - so I knew it was bloody cold. Balmy -9 at home.

LC said -12 this morning, weather station read a low of -16. I wonder when AA batteries stop working...

SHowing -10 here on the heating sensor that is on a north facing wall, a bit 'sheltered' Normally a bit lower in the exposed open garden so reasonable to assume -11 or -12. Bollok freezing to say the least and salt on the roads will not work any more at those low temps.

One of the reasons we haven't emigrated is that Norn Iron has no real weather extremes.

Starting to rethink that one. Found myself driving about today in the van with gloves on like an old boy. All I needed was a flat cap.

I'm crying inside every time it snows, I must be the only one on the forum can't get to his cruiser because of the flippin weather.

People are looking at me strange when I tell them my other car is a Landcruiser.

-6 here now, thats very cold for us southerners. Will I die if I go outside :?

Yes you will Matt. Best to stay indoors with a nice single malt and a blanket just in case :D
