2011 LC4 Headlight problem.

Hi. I have a problem whereby the dip beam on the driver side switches on ok but after about a minute it starts to flicker and then, after another minute, it goes out. If I switch it off and then back on again it comes back on and the process repeats. I thought it may be just a bulb needed replacing but I am told that it is a HID system so is not so straightforward. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm no expert on HID lighting but a quick web search found a company called LED Light Street who give a technical description of what could be wrong with your HID lights,
sounds like the ballast might be the most likely culprit, but you would have to do a bit of investigating for yourself. Try this link, not sure if it'll work....good luck.
