Just spent two weeks in the UK and I still haven't seen a 250 series on the road yet.
Has anyone seen one on the road in the flesh?

I went round the back of the local Toyota dealer for a sneak look and yep, nothing. Just went for some brake pads ( cheaper than Roughtrax).

The only members of the public to have seen them would be the ones who witnessed the Youtube videos being filmed, LHD ones.

£75K for Invincible, £80k for First Edition. Only 2 models available. In the USA they get the 2.4 petrol hybrid and they seem to love it and there seems to be plenty for sale there.

I was in North Carolina this last week and saw a few. They look nice and seem literally like planted bricks at speed.

£80K is putting them in a price range where they aren't a work vehicle and other manufacturers have nicer interiors....the " Landcruiser " brand may be strong but the 250 is going to have to be very good to maintain sales once a few are out there.... and have an impeccable build quality.... something Toyota have struggled with regards rust proofing and longevity in the UK market .

I heard there is only 3000 to be appropriated for the whole of Europe, that's going to spread them pretty thin on the ground. If I'd got £80k to spend it would be a 250 over a Defender or an Inios even though the Defender with the 6 cyl engine is going to be smoother, give a better ride and be better appointed. This would be purely down to it's rarity value.

Look at the "200" syndrome, dynamically inferior to a RR in most ways, really quite rare and yet seem to hold tremendous residuals. We'll see what happens with the 250.

We could have a competition, " Who sees the first and where?"

My sister in law is a marketing and sales specialist with Toyota/Lexus in the US. She goes on all the publicity shoots and demos for the Lexus brand. She keeps sending me videos on site of the 250 (Lexus badged) as they test the accessories in the field. She knows it both annoys me and satisfies my need for content

I wish they would improve their market share here. I've seen a few pics of them and would love to see them here.... :)

To be fair the Defender isn't really in the same class for reliability.... the 4 cylinders are beginning to pop engines... the 6 cylinder seems to have fewer issues but both suffer from electrical PMT .
I think it's only the perceived Toyota Landcruiser reliability that keeps 200 values high.... that and the known Range Rover unreliability ...
If they properly rust proof European 250's then they could give Ineos a run for their money..... although the 4 cylinder would put me off compared to the 6 in the Ineos...

I don't think anyone really needs to try and give ineos a run for their money, they do a good job themselves.

Beat the queue....Import one.

Shame we aren't getting the new 70 series with the 2.8 Hilux motor in the UK - looks the business in the Aussie YouTube shorts I've seen...

Some mark up over list:dizzy: 20%. Add on top the dealer discount and it's a decent days work

Don't look as impressive on a miserable day in the North East as they do in the southern States sun.

I think you can get a 300 series for the same price, new, landed and paperwork done in the UK
