300 series how to off replace fuel filter sign

Hi everyone, I need help with the replace fuel filter light in the dashboard I can't off it I took it to the dealership they off it and replace the fuel filter but it came back on after 100k ,I need to know how to do it my self I tried some computer machines I didn't see the option to of it

While it is easy to do, you actually will need a helper

First, disconnect the wiring harness connector to fuel filter housing

Have your helper turn the ignition switch to ON.
After turning the ignition switch to ON, connect the level warning switch connector no sooner than 3 seconds have passed but no later than 60 seconds have passed.

Check that the combination meter's fuel system warning light turns off. It still on, repeat procedure

Could it be the filter is dirty again or is it a water in fuel light ?
I would investigate before just turning the light out .

I assumed like most "helpful" technology its to intelligent to recognize the filter has been changed

Probably just a sensor that "sees" a restriction in fuel flow.... or even water in fuel....
It could of course be a faulty sensor ...
I would just change the filter again and see what happens ..... common rail and dirty or water in fuel don't mix
