Helen's boss just died though she didn't know him https://uk.yahoo.com/news/crashed-s...t-destroyed-fatal-accident-90s-101353783.html

37 years she has worked for the same company she knew the original owners well and has traveled up and down the country saving contracts in peril and helping to win new ones .

Now she work's 8 hours a night 5 nights a week digitally clocked in and out of the building for minimum wage with 20 days paid holiday annually (not including bank holidays) .

She has never met anyone from the company with more authority than her own which is basically limited to force of personality .

When a young local guy came to her complaining of prejudice bullying and extortion at the hands of another manager at a separate site she investigated and found all claims to be true and moreover these tactics were rife among the migrant workers who were paying other employees in order to keep their job .

Powerless to do anything she reported everything up the ladder and as a result an agency gunslinger was called in to discuss the matter with everyone at work outside working hours unpaid after 3 hours the original complaint as well as everything else it caused to be revealed was deemed true .

So they moved the young lad to a different site under a new manager and job done .

I actually considered putting a tender in for this contract a few years ago so i can tell you it cost's circa 100k . This is who won the tender http://shares.telegraph.co.uk/fundamentals/?epic=CPG

Makes me laugh when i read about worker's rights is all .
