Next issue present here is to get the engine started. The former owner did not have the key, so he tried to break up the ignition wiring and start the engine
...not really aware of the limitations here! Anyway, now I need to know how to start it up so that we can test all components before dismantling the chassis...
I think the imobiliser is built in to the engine ECU on the 100 series and can't be fooled or reprogrammed without a master key. You may end up having to get another engine ECU if you can't get a key. A toyota dealer may be able to get you a master key using the VIN number.
