Hi all, the cabin air filters that "should" work for this year & model don't fit and are much too long to fit into the filter slot. Does anyone know of a filter that would work for this model? I've got a 1998 JDM LC100 VX (Model: KG-HDJ101K-RNPGZ) and I've seen tutorials on the forums and on YouTube that say to use the Denso 453-1001 or the Toyota 88568-60010 filters, and yet those are far too big. They are about 12" long and the space I see on my rig is only about half that, around 6" deep. See pics below. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have a 2004 UK spec 100 series 4.2 td. Toyota couldn't find where the cabin/ pollen filter goes. Can anyone help??

from what I have found out, the UK-spec 100's did not have the cabin air filter installed from standard. I ordered a retrofit kit from the USA without realising that everything would be mirrored as it is on the right of the vehicle doh but I also think the unit is a different one as the supplied filters look to be too long. Will continue sleuthing.. I have to wonder how much Toyota would save by just building as much of the car as a standard setup for every market - why remove the cabin air filter for some markets - seems weird and must mess up the build lines
