Engine Swap

I have a 95 series and I want to install a 1KD-FTV engine, but the oil pan is making it impossible to sit properly unless the front differential is removed.
Can the oil pan on a 1KZ engine fit on a 1KD-FTV engine?

I always thought they used the same block but wasn't sure , this guy seems to suggest its true

And I just had a look under both - sumps look identical to me . So if the engine came out without removing the diff then its fair to assume it must go back in just the same .

Mind you both my 1kd and 1kz are 90 series , its possible the 1kd 120 series engine/sump differs ?
