French alpine routes.

Can anyone help out with suggested routres for the French Alps?

Looks like I may have a week over there coming up.

The trails are more abundant and far better across in Italy, the fort trails and salt road.


Use wikiloc, all the good ones on there.

There is a fantastic site on alpine routes. But it's in German. Www.alpenrouten.de with a lot of recent comments on route conditions.
there is also the 'Denzel' . This is the bible for alpine routes. http://www.denzel-verlag.de/ but also in German.

Done the Alps a few years and they are great but this time of year it will be getting cold up there.

And what happen to the trip to ireland?

Recognise those trails ratrace, Coll tende and some others further north. Driven them on a few solo trips and the views and forts are excellent

i have a need to go back but got other trips in my head for the future

I had the offer of some training work for the same week as the Ireland trip, and the £ was too good to turn down.

I could go in November, but weather a concern.

Plus is the money is going to get the new tyres I want.

Steve Hobbs has suggested the Alps, but I want to be away two, maybe 3, times next year.
