Matt has finished the Colorado

It's up for sale on his website and Autotrader at £7995

Interesting, as I run one of these, although mine is a little newer with the later grill and wheels. I do think the earlier ones do look a little dated now with the two tone paintwork.
I saw the first post when he bought it and thought he paid good money for what he got. I wonder what the welding he had done comprised of?
It looks a bit pricy at £8k as we're in really good 120 money at that level, the market will decide.

Interesting video. I first dipped my toe into Land Cruisers 4 years ago after a lifetime of l Various Land Rovers, just to see what all the fuss was about. Well after 4 years I’m mightily impressed. After a lot of looking I found a 97 5 door Colorado which had just 2 owners , both Portuguese. It had lived in London from new and apparently spend most U.K. winters in Portugal hence why the chassis etc was in such good condition, however I had it professionally rust proofed as a precaution. Also I did some preventative maintenance such as new top and bottom ball joints, Toyota parts, complete cooling system renewed and new Toyota brake pads. I have had it serviced every year using genuine Toyota Filters. It’s just had 4 new Tyres and is going in for a service and MOT this month.
So after 4 years I’m in the market for something a bit newer either a 100 or a 120 but I can’t help thinking I should keep it, however the other half thinks it’s a bit basic although in my view one of its good points.
I saw a lot when I was looking for one, almost all were very crusty underneath or had had a quick blather in under seal. It never misses a beat and the only mechanical issue I have had was a sticky starter motor, which was the original and was repaired.
Alas I think it will have to go and was thinking £4950. I would rather it went to an enthusiast who would look after it.

Looks like it’s gone. I am on the bench for Colorado and watching them now. With current situation I am forced to use 200 as daily driver. It’s too big to take out for every small shopping trip. Colorado is ideal as daily driver and for greenlaning. Have to solve few puzzles before I am ready to add 3rd car in the house.

Wow whats that 2 or 3 grand profit for washing it :dizzy:

How did that pass an mot with a cracked headlight at 530

MOT'd at the garage doing the work and they wanted it gone , some will still trust a mate not to drop them in it .

Place I use will say could do with new brake pads but we just go to motor factors and you won't so just letting you know .
