Interesting video. I first dipped my toe into Land Cruisers 4 years ago after a lifetime of l Various Land Rovers, just to see what all the fuss was about. Well after 4 years I’m mightily impressed. After a lot of looking I found a 97 5 door Colorado which had just 2 owners , both Portuguese. It had lived in London from new and apparently spend most U.K. winters in Portugal hence why the chassis etc was in such good condition, however I had it professionally rust proofed as a precaution. Also I did some preventative maintenance such as new top and bottom ball joints, Toyota parts, complete cooling system renewed and new Toyota brake pads. I have had it serviced every year using genuine Toyota Filters. It’s just had 4 new Tyres and is going in for a service and MOT this month.
So after 4 years I’m in the market for something a bit newer either a 100 or a 120 but I can’t help thinking I should keep it, however the other half thinks it’s a bit basic although in my view one of its good points.
I saw a lot when I was looking for one, almost all were very crusty underneath or had had a quick blather in under seal. It never misses a beat and the only mechanical issue I have had was a sticky starter motor, which was the original and was repaired.
Alas I think it will have to go and was thinking £4950. I would rather it went to an enthusiast who would look after it.
