I am very sad tonight,,,,,,,,,,

Yeah im with you Graham. But when i try to look at downsizing i end up the same as you maybe one of these, maybe one of those:lol:.

I was looking at the passat highline estate, audi a4 avant quattro, ford focus titanium estate. but i like sitting up higher, you can see over walls and hedges when pulling out at juntions etc. so i ended up full circle back to a newer landruiser, which if my plan comes together i will be upgrading later this year.
.
Well, I had been planning to sell it for some while, just waiting for the time.

The Land Cruiser had done it's job, and done it well, with no fuss, but times move on.
Several trips around Europe, Scandinavia down to Spain, towing our 4 wheel caravan, over Andorra, is no easy feat.

Her has a Nissan Micra, which is perfect for town runs etc, not withstanding that we can walk into city center in less than say, 5 - 10 minutes.
With a large "Tesco Extra" on the other side of the road, we want for nothing.

A good friend of mine, who I worked for, before I went off to China, has offered me contract work, and he is supplying transport from beginning of April.

But I need to move my caravan from the secure compound, in Ashton-Under-Lyne (OL6 6AE) to the repair people in Preston, (PR26 7QN) so actually, the Land Cruiser sold too quick.

But when some one offers you your asking price, no haggle, well, he did want half a tank of diesel, which I wouldn't do, and backed with an immediate bank transfer, I found it hard to say no.

I could have done with holding onto it for another week, but such is things.

Now I may have to hire a vehicle or van, for 4 hours, with a tow-bar, to move the caravan, but that's just a £30 rental for 4 hours, so not the end of the world.

OK, little update,

First of all, the caravan repair company said, they can not collect caravans, which can be towed on the road, ie, they must be roadworthy,
and that I must bring it to them.

So I rang the caravan Caravan repair folk, and told them I can not tow my caravan to them, as it is not roadworthy.
Their is a brake light out, on the near side, and there is a piece of awning rail sticking out about 4 inches, which "could catch a passing vehicle", and this renders it "un-roadworthy"

They will contact me to arrange collection date.

Problem solved.
