This is a pretty local 60 which the owner ( Ian) has resurrected after being stood in an orchard for 10 years. It's got a rebuilt engine and is mechanically very good. However there were a few jobs which we've been getting through with a good few small missing parts just to finish.
One main thing was it's appalling ride as it was on rusty Milner springs so we had to do something about that. I replaced the aforesaid " Devils own foundry" springs with my best set of refurbished OEM ones and the result was transformation. He actually likes it now and can't believe the difference in ride quality. I had to fix 3 out of the four electric windows which with the help of the two front door mechanism replacements sorted that problem.
A couple if interior bits, the steering column binnacle was broken and that was replaced along with the heater control panel tidied the inside up a bit.
It's a bit different though, it has quite a body lift and stands quite tall.
Funnily enough I first met Ian about 8 years ago through Chris when I was asked to go and see 3 60's in an orchard which had to be moved and turned then down due to the poor condition of them all. They were rough and not really what I wanted but Ian rescued this one and sold the other 2 for spares.
