Intruder alarm.

This post has probably been up lots on here but I'm lazy.
My question is if your out on your travels and your car keyfob battery dies how do you get in the car with out the alarm going off.
I tried this yesterday and the minute you unlock with the key in the door the alarm goes off.

Can’t try it at the moment but if I remember right all you have to do is lock the car again with the key and the alarm will not get set.

Will try that tomorrow just wint be popular with the neighbours if my keyfob don't work and need to open with the key.
The minute I turn the key to open the alarm goes off.
