Thank you man! It's a task to keep at it so to say.. I started on Wednesday morning and wasn't very happy with what I was looking at..

Hot days best to start early in the morning and drink beer in the afternoon! lol!

Thinking that it'll be better to clamp and spot weld the lower pieces on but with added welder dysfunction is another problem to overcome!

I've had a 10 hour hit on the 81 today and can safely say that I am feeling fatigued from the effort!

Decided to paint the lower parts of the patches before welding them on.. This has worked out well as when I welded them on the new paint wasn't effected!

There's no instagram worthy welds on this thread lol!

Having painted and sealed the earlier parts I just used a PU sealer and adhesive much the same make up as "tiger seal" but a 1/4 of the price. Then used a paint bush dipped in thinners, there's paint on the non welded part but only as above in the area of the repair.

The holes to mount to the front panel didn't quite line up! Managed to bolt 1 but the outer one was sealed up!

Hoping to polish this job off tomorrow but rain is on it's way!

Happy days are back for another year LOL!
