Seeking some help guys. I've done a lot of research before posting. but here's what I've got going on...
I have a 91' LJ71 with the 2.4 LT-E engine. about a month ago I changed the oil from whatever the dealer used to a royal purple 10w-30. And after about a week of normal driving I noticed a white smoke coming from the exhaust. its now to the point that it is embarrassing to drive. I thought it was coolant, but its definitely not. the smell is sharp like burning oil, not sweet like coolant. also my coolant hasn't dropped or changed (No oil in coolant). I pulled of the intake pipe between the turbo and the throttle body....no oil. so my question is....
how do I check to find out where exactly I'm leaking and burning oil, do I need a leak down test? are there seals that typically go bad in these engines I should look at first?
Thanks for the help guys, cheers
