Do you have the small rectangular metal tag with the key number in it or know the key code?

Hello Ben.
Thanks for your message.
I’ll check tomorrow and back to you.
I think i should get key code in Toyota

With your lc details - reg/vin number etc Toyota should be able to supply new key/s and programme them to your vehicle. All at a premium Toyota cost of course !
Not sure what they mean by change computers, assume they mean ECU, another eye watering money making scheme meaning all locks/keys changed to the same programme ?
Not 100% sure, hopefully someone else can confirm.
If you have that tag/key number as Ben says, any reputable key cutter should be able to supply, but you will still have to have key/s programmed.

If it's anything like the 80 series, the master key is needed to program in new keys. If you've lost that then it's a new ECU & lock set. That's what I was told when I bought a new key back in 2005. Thankfully I had the master so it was £50 vs £1100 plus for a new ECU.

Hello.
Thanks for your text.
I try three different key companies last week and whey can’t connect to ECU reprogramming the key . Looks like nobody have broke off ECU for this model yet
I call one of Toyota dealers and whey told about changing computers/ECU.
Just thinking maybe somebody heard in this club, how to get cheaper or maybe somebody had same situation already.
Thanks guys.

Theres something to be said for an old fashioned metal key wot you push in and turn!

Thinking about this again, I think we have all missed something here, even if Edd had the number and managed to get a key cut from somewhere, there would be no chip in it to re-programme anyway ?
In the normal course of things getting another key cut (because original is worn/broken), that would not include a chip, and rely on swapping already programmed chip from original key to new which he doesn't have ?
Looking more and more like Toyota only job ££££

What type of key is it exactly? Is it a traditional metal key with embedded circuitry or transponder like the 80 series or is it just a fob like many new vehicles have?

It'll be a fob for a push button start. Unfortunately you need a key to program a new one with Techstream. I think you can reprogram the smart entry ECU with something like VVDI2, but you need to find someone with the box and software and then get the ECU out to get a cable on it.
