Lucky or what?

I am on a 40 series feed from Australia which, on occasions, gets input from guys with 25 and 28 series trucks. The following incident was posted over the weekend and the consideration the writer showed by not wanting to park blocking anyone's access really paid off. Lucky or what?

The other night I was coming through a western Queensland town after dark with a 1962 Toyota on the trailer.

Ended up looking for a park down the side street from the servo trying to find a park that wouldn’t cut off any driveways.

Walked up and picked feed, walking back what sounded like an elderly lady said in a soft voice, do you want a grill for your toyota. Bit taken back trying to sort out what this was about, as it didn’t seem right, bit like when they play a tape of a baby crying to lure you into the bush.

Anyway she said it again and added her husband was a retired panel beater.

To cut a long story short the owner of the first 20 series that came to the district hit a tree and asked him to order the panel.

There were no toyota dealers in that period and freight took a long time to arrive, by the time it turned up the old mate didn’t want the panel.

He said the panel had hung on the wall of his office for 60 years, brand new, never fitted.

What are the chances of this happening.

Not Landcruiser related but similar.....
We took my 1943 Halftrack to Holland for the 80th commemorations of Market Garden and XXX Corps .... parked up in afield for the night with other vehicles and a Dutch chap came up and started chatting and noticed the boxes and cans etc on the Halftrack ..... he then told me he had an old ammo box at home ..... an hour later he came back with a pristine ammo box that had been in his barn since 1944 .... very unusual to be able to definitely place a relic of a chaotic battle to an exact location and the units that had used it.... now pride of place on the front of the Halftrack .
The whole trip was moving and literally in the footsteps of those who had been there 80 years before ....and the Dutch were brilliant hosts.....
