Need engine manual for VM 2.5 TD 5 cylinder (HR 588 OHV)

Hi,
I am considering replacing the front crankshaft oil seal and changing the head gaskets at the same time on my bj73. Does anyone have a manual paper/pdf or knows where i might be able to find one ?

The VM specialist is called VM Diesel Specialist Ltd, at www.vmdieselspecialist.com/
They are based in Chesterfield.
I think that they, if anyone, would have at least a spec sheet with torque settings and maybe a manual.

It looks like a five cylinder. Seems nice and clean !
I have found a manual for the VM 2.5 TD its for (4) four cylinders but apparently its the same with an added cylinder.

I am still struggling with parts, my LC seems to be an 89. Euro 4x4 sell bj73 250td parts from 1/90?

not clear to me what I can order and what years have compatible parts?

@Christain My research shows that 73s were made from 1985 to 1990 nor can I see any reference to upgrades during their production run so it would perhaps imply that the Euro 4x4 date is an end date.

Mine was first registered in Spain in March 1991 by the way. Quite possible it was on of the last ones

The manual in the link above is for a version of the VM that differs significantly from the one in your 73.

The link below is for the 4 cylinder VM as fitted to the Range Rover Classic. The bare block, injection pump and top end are identical in every respect to the VM fitted in the 4 cyl 73.

I recommend you use this as your first point of reference, not the Jeep VM.

I recently took delivery of a 1989 BJ73 with the 5 cylinder VM engine and was hoping someone could share the tech manuals with me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Having the same issue as '88 BJ73. Just imported a BJ73 from Portugal with the 5 cylinder VM engine and it is in desperate need of an overhaul before I can get it MOT'd. Scoured the web for the past week with this being the most recent thread I've found. Found the Jeep manual but if anyone is willing to share the 5 cylinder manual, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
