Hi

Pakistan - KKH - Attabad Lake

We just completed our trip down the KKH, and wanted to share our photos and blog.

Pakistan Part 1

The trickiest part of the trip was loading our 4x4 on a small boat to cross the lake, although the rest of the road is quite bad, it was the main obstacle on our route.

Who are they Matt? Friends of yours?

They were on tlocuk in their prep stage and posted with a problem over the weekend in India looking for a part for the LC, but it seems Simon has deleted their post because I guess someone posted try Ian ...............nice

Maybe someone can post on their blog...

Hi Martin,

Great to see you over here on the sensible side.

Are you still in Guilin?
If you are, I am sure you know just how beautiful Guilin is by now.

I am in Weifang, not near as pretty a Guilin.

Hi Graham, we have not been back to Guilin, since 2008, nice place though would like to drive that way!, just in Goa, relaxing and enjoying the beaches,

Are you planing on heading south to SE Asia at some point ?

Martin.

P.s We got our Gear box parts sent to us in India, but Toyota in Goa, said they were not qualified to fit the two new Solenoids lol, so we have limp along until we reach Malaysia, where hopefully some there will have some common sense!

Hi Martin

Glad you have managed to at least source parts for el camino - hopefully you'll be back to fighting weight PDQ  How far is Malaysia then??

Have you updated your blog BTW? Could you post a link to it again or is it on this thread? Hey, hang the expense, start a new on on the Trip Report section!!! like you have now't else to do...

Cheers, stay well & all the best

Hi Martin,

We are off to Viet Nam soon.
Our passports are away getting visa'd
Train from Weifang to Nanning, which takes us through Guilin
Then a day or two in Nanning, before getting back on the train to Ha Noi.
