Hi all.
Does anyone know what the plugged off section was originally intended for?
Back of motor 2h, driver side, in the casting that oil cooler and filter are fitted to. In mine the oil pressure gauge screws into it and it continues maybe 50mm downward and is blocked off with a hex nut.
That sounds complicated, might have to add a pic when I get home.
Thanks Roy.

Oil cooler and filter on a 2H is on the right side. At the rear behind the filter and below where the oil pressure sender is the housing that is vertical casting with a hex plug, that is the oil cooler relief valve. There will be a valve and spring behind the hex.

Thanks. So the 2h has two pressure relief valves? This one & one on the pump.
I am investigating a better place to get oil for after market turbo. At present it is fed via vacuum pump oil feed, but room is at a premium and looks messy.

Take it from where the oil pressure sender is, take pit sender and fit a tee.
