Pedders fitting kit

Do you have to buy the fitting kit with the shock absorber ?

seems really odd to me if you do , a shocks good for nothing if you can't fit it ?

My Peddars shocks failed M.O.T for leaking at under 10k miles .

I don't recollect having to buy a fitting kit when I fitted a 2" lift to my D4D Colorado. That said the ride was intolerably hard when I had asked for compliant. I got no help from Pedders when I complained. I guess you get what you get for the money you pay.

I was hoping the ride would be softer than my OME set-up Andy. I'm going back to a standard height.
My choices are OEM/ £1900, Ironman/£750 and Pedders/£800. I'm not buying OEM at that price so do I take a chance on the other brands that they'll be compliant like the standard suspension? Or can I get the OEM kit at a decent price?

Have you priced the springs up at Amayama? I'm buying stuff all the time from them. True, you can cop for some import duty but it's still way cheaper than Toyota UK.
Years ago I replaced all 4 springs on my first 80 with OEM ones which then worked out at £660.00. It transformed the ride to like new. I'd had it from 2 years old and replaced the springs at 15 years old.
I wonder why the springs need changing, our 120 has done 175K and still has pretty much the original ride height and drives very well. That said, it has only been loaded up a few times to 500kg.

Thanks Andy,I'll ty Amayama,I do struggle with their website tho'.
Maybe it's easier on a laptop,I'll have another go.
The OME springs need changing along with the OME shocks.
The handling is good in corners on the tarmac,but on the dirt it's harsh and you end up trying to drive around the G-outs...

Went on Amayama Andy and managed to price up front shocks and springs and rear springs only.
Why can't I use Amayama,drives me nuts?

What I do is go on Toyodiy first and get the part numbers then put the part numbers directly into Amayama after. Yep its far easier on a laptop.
